Position 1L2 shows evidence of a prior misplaced (partially erased) transfer roll setting in the margin above it, and 2L2 shows the well known large vertical crack. This is a Nov 1856 usage showing the Dark Prussian blue shade typical of Nov-Dec 1856 on plates 2 and 3 of the 1c stamp. |
