3D Viewfinder mailed from Gregory Dovey (aka Santa Claus), 109 Iroquois St, Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Tom & Kathy Henretty, 21 Harvest Lane, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania with Scott #1240, 5¢ National Christmas Tree and a December 18, 1963 CDS.

This stamp was first issued on November 1, 1963 and printed by BEP by Giori Press, perf 11. It was the second stamp issued specifically for use during the Christmas holiday season. It features the National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C. with the White House in the background.

Rates for first-class letters were increased from 4¢ to 5¢/ounce on January 7, 1963.
