Description: | [Ecuador via PSNC and RMSP to Mobile] 17 June 1850 folded entire from Guayaquil Ecuador to Washington D.C, Fourth Auditor, Treasury Department Washington D.C., entered mails at the Brtish post office at Guayaquil with their split ring backstamp and red Guayaquil Paid split ring handstamp on front, red crayon 2/- rate, endorsed on reverse to Panama forwarder but crossed out before mailing, Panama 25 June 1850 transit, carried by Royal Mail Steam Packet via Kingston Jamaica, and with their 4 July 1850 sllit ring backstamp, then carried by RMSP packet Great Western to Mobile, AL, where it entered the mail with their red 1 August postmark and FREE handstamp, extremely fine, ex Grant Glassco collection |
