1893 5c chocolate Columbian postal entire (U350) and 1890 8c lilac Small Bank Note (225) tied by oval cancels with purple "Reg. Div. Oct 22 1895 Springfield, Mass." marking, addressed to Managua, Nicaragua, Central America. Endorsed "via Panama & Corinto". New York registry label, Purple registry handstamps from Corinto and Managua, which list weight as 10 grams. Reverse: "New York Reg'y. Div. 10-23 1895" oval, purple New York Sta. S 10-23-95" transit markings, Corinto 15 Nov. 95 and Managua 16 Nov. 95" handstamps. Paid 5c UPU rate and 8c registry fee.

Corinto, Nicaragua, is the entry port and the country's largest and only port on the Pacific side. Managua is Nicaragua's capital and is in the interior on the shores of Lake Managua.
