Goldman Sachs is still in operation in lower Manhattan, New York City. It is a multinational investment bank founded in New York City in 1869 by Marcus Goldman, a German-American investment banker and financier. The company built its new 20-story headquarters in 1930 at 30 Pine Street, from where this cover originated from. The site is significant: in 1869, when the firm was founded, Marcus Goldman's office was located in a structure that stood on the site. Goldman Sachs would operate from 30 Pine Street until 1957, when it moved to 20 Broad Street.
