Description:

Scott# 330 solo usage of Jamestown Exposition 5ct Pocahontas stamp pays the postage on this cover addressed to Mrs. George Scott Winslow in London, England. There are two different July 26, 1907 London postmarks, one on the front side to the left of the Concord, Mass. postmark. And another July 26th London postmark on reverse. There is a July 26th South Kensington postmark on reverse and a July 27th South Kensington postmark on front of the cover. Then there is a red hand stamped marking on reverse "July 26, 1907 Forwarded By Baring Brothers & 09 Limited London". The London address was crossed out and a Paris, France Hotel address penciled in. There is a partial July 27th Paris postmark in the lower right corner on front. The Paris addresses are crossed out and the cover is sent back to England. This cover is postmarked on August 22nd first at London and then at South Kensington on front and back. An address label is affixed over the address and a Boston, Mass. address written on it. A second red Baring Brothers Forwarded marking dated August 22, 1907 is hand stamped on reverse. No other postmarks were applied to this cover when it reached Boston.
