Description:

Lombardy-Venetia 15 centesimi Red hand-made paper, type II (scarce variety - Scott no. 4f) strip-of-three canceled by two strikes of "Rovigo, 7. Apr." straight line postmark on 1852 folded letter to Trieste, orange-red "Trieste 9/4" arrival marking on back. Letter is datelined "Rovigo 7 Aprile 1852".
