Wards's Lake Superior Line Steamer Sea Bird Sep 21 1860 red datestamp on cover to Ellsworth, Michigan (located near Torch Lake in NW Mich), entered the mails with "Detroit Mich Sep 26 1860 3 Paid" datestamp and grill cancel tying 3c dull red, type III (#26), Detroit's their Steamboat" handstamp, cover minor edge faults at top, PF cert, ex Haas

At this date the Steamer Sea Bird was operating between Ontanogon, Mich (on Lake Superior) and Detroit. The five day difference in dates probably indicates an orign point close to Ontanogon.
