"Overton & Co.'s City Mail, Office 3 Broad Street." red oval and "Paid" 10 x 4mm black marking on folded two-page letter dated April 1, 1845 from Concord, N.H. to street address in New York City.

The red oval marking was applied by Overton's office in New York as an arrival marking, whereas the black "Paid" marking was applied at Overton's Boston office. To view a complete strike of the Overton City Mail red oval marking see Cover ID 28474.
