Cuba under U.S. Military Rule. "2-1/2 c. de PESO" overprint on 2c reddish carmine type III (Cuba #223) tied by "MIL. P. Sta. No. 15. Pinar Del Rio, Cuba. Mar 29 1899" 3-bar duplex postmark, on cover to Milwaukee, Wisc. Endorsed "Soldier's Mail", and signed by Capt. G. F. Stickney, 3d U.S. Volunteers, Engineers. Backstamps: "National Home Apr 2 1898" cds and Milwaukee Apr 3 1898 machine cancel.
