Red "Oswego, N. York Sep. 11" (1847) circular datestamp and manuscript "10" collect rate marking on blue folded letter datelined "Oswego Sept 10. 1847" to New York. 10 cents was the rate for over 300 miles per 1/2 ounce.

One hundred years later a collector attending the Centenary International Philatelic Expostion in New York, N.Y., May 17-25, 1947, turned this stampless cover inside out and re-folded it, affixed the 5c blue Franklin stamp (#948a) cut out from the souvenir sheet, addressed it probably to himself, and had it postmarked with "New York, N.Y. Centenary International Philatelic Ex. Sta. May 25 P.M. 1947" marking on the last day of the show. Possibly went through the mails a second time; a cute, clever souvenir from the show.
