Description: Prisoner of War cover via flag of truce.  Endorsed "Through Comd'g Officer at Fortress Monroe".  Examined manuscript "Ex Geo haul Ast PA".  
Sent by Captain Benjamin Little of the 52nd North Carolina Regiment who was wounded and captured at Gettysburg.  At the time of mailing, Little was a prisoner at Fort McHenry.  
CSA 10-cent (Scott 11) postmarked in Richmond on 18 December.
