Another of the Vabre covers, repatriated from France from an antique book dealer.

Red New Orleans La. Sep 25 and red New York to the point of entry at Calais France, 15 Oct 55. Manuscript "per Steamer from New York" at top. Franked with a single blue 1c Franklin (#9) and a pair of green 10c Washington (#15). Folded letter sheet with stamps of bold colors.

Blue oval marking in bottom left is the handstamp of T.H. Bailly-Blanchard who was the father of Arthur Bailly-Blanchard who was the American Ambassador to Haiti from 1914 to 1921.
